On October 26 1934 it was reported in the Golden Star that the Canadian Legion B.E.S.L. , Golden Branch #122 had registered the legion cemetery under the name "Mountain View Cemetery".

The cemetery is one of the few in Canada that is  wholy owned and maintained by The Legion for veteran's and veteran's families. An extensive re-vitalization was started a few years ago and continues today. Pictures of 2008 work parties are in the Picture Gallery Section.
