RCL 122 Gives to the Kids

All of the funds raised by The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #122 through it's weekly meat draws and 50/50 draws are given back to Community organizations.

We have to abide by very strict Royal Canadian Legion rules as well as the rules set out by the BC Lottery commission. Each month our Finance Committee reviews all letters of request for funding. Funding is granted to successful applicants as need and resources permit. All funding is approved by the members at the Monthly General meetings, which are held on the fourth Monday of the month.

At the February General Meeting there were three funding applications approved.

1: 3066 R.C.A.C.C Cadets:  $1,000.00 

Approval was given based on the Cadets utilizing the funds toward the purchase of supplies needed including mats. RCL #122 is the official sponsor of 3066 RCACC Cadets.

2: Golden Minor Hockey Association:  $750.00 

Approval was given based on the Golden Minor Hockey Association utilizing the funds toward the expenses for the Pee Wee Hockey Team in their upcoming Championship Tournament.

3: GSS Parent Advisory Group: $500.00

Approval was given based on the Parent Advisory Group utilizing the funds toward funding the group of students in Grades 11 and 12 who were selected to participate in a Global volunteers program in Ecuador.
